• [2025-09-26] We have added new charts titled “Battery Dispatch Simulation across Efficiency Scenarios” to the JEPX Spot Price Forecast page.

• [2025-09-17] As Guest Editors for the journal Sustainability, we have planned a Special Issue titled "Toward Sustainable Energy Systems and Markets: Forecasting, Optimization, and Economic Decision-Making", in collaboration with Dr. Toru Hattori from the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry and Dr. Hikaru Hoshino from the University of Hyogo.

• [2025-08-26]  A column titled "Toward Understanding and Applying Electricity Futures Prices" has been published on the Japan Exchange Group (JPX) special webpage for electricity futures.

• [2025-08-26]  Gave a talk at the Energy and Environmental Business Research Group of the Japan Association of Real Options and Strategy, on the topic of forecasting methods and bidding strategies in the electricity spot market.

• [2025-08-21]  A report on electricity futures risk premiums (co-authored with Mr. Sihan Zhou from PwC) has been published in the JPX Futures & Options Report.

• [2025-08-15]  A paper (co-authored with Professor Yuji Yamada of the University of Tsukuba) was published in the Energy Economics special issue "Financial Innovation in Energy Market". The paper proposes a product called “Principal Component Derivatives,” which enables efficient mutual hedging of regionally distributed renewable energy projects.

• [2025-06-04] Three students enrolled in the Professional Degree Program (April intake) have joined the lab.

• [2025-04-01] Transferred to the Professional Degree Program in Technology and Innovation Management / Department of Innovation Science, School of Environment and Society, Tokyo Institute of Science.
