Curriculum Presentations Tools
In my blended learning design, I would like to incorporate the tools Screencast and Narrated Slideshow. Screencast allows you to capture an activity activity in your computer with audio or captions. This is excellent for presentations, students can use screencast to show their presentations through a video and include a voice-over so that they're still presenting but not showing their face, for those shy students. Narrated Slideshows is similar to doing lecture presentations but it allows you to add audio to each slide. This is excellent for teachers who lose their voice, they can prerecord their lectures so that they don't have to speak all day. These is also helpful with math, you use use this to show each step.
Collaborations and Social Media Tools
I would like to incorporate the tools Synchronous Conferencing. This tool is excellent for videocalls for group presentations, students call videocall and work together if they aren't able to meet face-to-face. This can also be helpful during school breaks, if a student is struggling with their break homework packets, they can videoconference with the teacher and get the help they need.
Digital Media Tools
I would incorporate the tools Drawing, Videocast. Drawing tools are helpful and essential because 1st/2nd graders still enjoy drawing so I would love to implement some tools that can integrate activities for drawing. Videocast tools are helpful by providing school appropriate videos when they are relevant to the lesson and students can also use some of it's features to create their own videos.
Teacher Productivity Tools
I would incorporate the tools of Task Management Applications, Assessment Generators, and File Management. All of these tools are essential and helpful in allowing teachers to stay organized and keep all their files and content on track.
This is an online math program where students go through different programs and help the penguin get to a certain place. This helps support implementation as it is an online math program. This is fun for the kids and educational so I would use it as part of the math activity of the day for some days and I would also use it for their fun activities in the computer lab in other days. I would keep track of their progress by having each student mark their score every time they advance. https://web.stmath.com/ (Links to an external site.)
This is a education program for ages 2-8. This will help support implementation of blended learning as it is an online education program. I will use this during breaks instead of giving students homework packets. This will help students stay on track of their learning during the break and might help improve their reading and math skills. You have to pay for this program so I will not require it, but I will tell parents about it so that they have an option and their is a 30 day trial to see if they like the program and if it helps. https://www.abcmouse.com/abt/homepage?8a08850bc2=T758318008.1593226412.3411 (Links to an external site.)
This is an educational children's program for grades k-3 that teaches reading, writing, and math. Each subject is taught on the grade level of each student. This helps support implementation as it is an online educational program. I would use it as the fun activity of the day, during breaks like ABCmouse since this program is free, or as a small part of their homework. I will keep track of their progress. https://www.starfall.com/h/
