Blue dots = Safe Zone
(All art needs to go past the red and into the bleed)
While many of you will work with Photoshop or Illustrator and use layers there is a better way but has a larger learning curve.
Using InDesign is the best way to manage a multipage document like we have in a deck of cards. Go to the Indesign Help Page for tutorials.

Make a sketch of your card front and back
If you have a character, Pose your character to tell a story of the narrative that relate to your game
Use the template to ensure you have the right size
Consider the following aspects of a card:
Character Art
Points
Flavor Text: Explain who the character is how they have power
Key or indicator of what team the character is on (good, bad, neutral)
If you want to make an image that shows off your card in a graphic design layout: use this file as a template and add your card.
This is the photoshop template I made available for you to use.
Add your flat image to the file and transform it inside of the mask to make it look like your cards are real.
There are drop shadows all ready for you to use.
Then add a graphic design layout with your name and other info you want to share.
