The slides
A presentation in person
Here is your checklist:
Use a mechanic or more, describe and show how this mechanic is being used in your slides
explain your mechanic(s) in the slides
Use a theme: such as space, mining, horror, punk, wrestling, bird watching, civilization building, etc. (Your choice.) All elements will have this look, feel and voice.
Budget: Must be able to be prototyped under $24 on TheGameCrafter: See the available products
Time: Must be able to be played within one hour
The Playtesting
Must be able to be play tested, and iterated, document your play testing with photos and a user report.Â
Your rule book must be play tested too. Review the playtesting page
The Prototyping
Create a beta prototyped within the time period of the course.
The Beta Prototype would include:
Asset Design (At least 2 card designs or what ever your components are.) (The rest should be at least sketched and the photos or digital sketch uploaded to the digital version) In other words, your prototype will not be the original paper sketches - it is preferred for them all to to be digital. Review the Game Art Section of this site for instructions and tutorials.
Accessible and Universal Design: All assets, including your slides need to follow contrast ratios that make them accessible: Go to the Universal Design Page for more information
Logo: Designed in a digital form: added to slide one, on tabletopia or on your box
Submitted as a documented printed game or a tabletopia link into the slides: either way you will need to design using graphics and text, crediting any collaborators and tools. (Review the Ai rules in the syllabus that you can find in the introduction unit on D2L).
Box: If you don't submit through Tabletopia you will need to create a box for the prototype. It does not need to go through the game crafter but go through the digital creation and have the logo on it. Go to the Box page on this site.
Instructions Typed, Designed, and in digital form with the pictures: Review the Instructions for Instructions
The Presentation
Use the slide template, make your own copy of the slideshow, add your photos and other content to the slideshow.
Use each slide on the template - making it your own and using your voice and not leaving the questions.

submit your how to play video on the slides around slide 2.
Add credits to your slides
any contributors, photographers, usage rights that need to be noted, sound designers, artists, play testers, editors etc.
any generative AI needs to be documented in a way to show that you are the designer. Review the syllabus for more information
All links in the slideshows should be accessible links: To make those: Type- Go to this source (whatever that is) then highlight it and add the long url.Â
