For those new to MSU, University Studeies is MSU's "undecided option." In this program, students work with a dedicated advisor to create a custom schedule that helps them explore their interests-- ultimately leading to them making an informed decision on what they should study (while keeping them on a 4-year gradaution timeline. It is not a degree they graduate with, but rather, an exploratory start to their path that allows them to "test the waters" of different programs without wasting their time or money.

When interacting with students during Admissions events such as MSU Friday, STATE Days, or Orientation, are there themes or questions that you tend to get more than others?:
30% of students change their majors within their first year, so this is a great program to start with, then declare later, so there is no feeling of wasted time. This program creates a well balanced approach with group and individual advising.
