Utilizing the side room connected to my classroom, the DonorsChoose website, and my own collections and contributions, I've been able to build a sensory space for students to utilize when in need of a break. Take a peak and this awesome space below.
A comfy couch that can me turned into different arrangements and rainbow busy wall.
Lava stepping blocks, whiteboard, and bins full of different textured building tools.
Quite a collection of pillows and beanbags as well as posters to serve as concentration focal points.
A lightboard with X-rays, translucent shapes, and gemstones. As well as a bubbling fish tower.
Magnet marble/ball run with comfy cushions and varioys handheld sensory tools.
Sensory bins full of kinetic sand, orbeez, and other fun tools changed throughout the year.
One person sensory tent used as a safe place to limit environmental stimulation.
Exercise trampoline for getting those wiggles under control and work our frustration.
