This project was one meant to show exploration and mastery of Microsoft Word & Excel, Google Docs & Sheets, and Adobe Express. We needed to create two newsletters, a flyer, a collage, a spreadsheet, and an accompanying lesson plan.
This project was one meant to show exploration and mastery of Microsoft Word & Excel, Google Docs & Sheets, and Adobe Express. We needed to create two newsletters, a flyer, a collage, a spreadsheet, and an accompanying lesson plan.
Our flyer had to be made to accompany one of the articles in our Microsoft Word newsletter, so I decided to make a flyer for the Scholastic Book Fair. I had quite a bit of fun manipulating the pre-made templates for flyers to get the desired product.
My collage was over some of the color archetypes that students would find during our short story unit at the beginning of the school year. This is an example of what I would expect from them: the color, the meaning, and an example from one of our texts along with a picture.
Spreadsheet Michala McPhink1.pdfTemplate Michala McPhink.pdfFor the Microsoft Excel portion of the project, I decided to make a spreadsheet outlining the 50 Book Club that I would have my students do. It would track their reading over the course of the school year including pages and books read and show how many of the students & classes would be able to attend the successful completion party. The version on the right is the template for students to enter data into.
