* School should be a safe learning environment for all.
Students are expected to take responsibility for their behavior, both academically and socially. It is important that both the students and parents are familiar with consequences for inappropriate behavior.
*Repeated inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

NOTE: A copy of the classroom rules and consequences will be sent with your child. It needs to be read, signed and returned. Thank you. I am looking forward to a wonderful and productive school year.

Be prepared
Be prepared
Students will be prepared and will sit in their assigned seats before the tardy bell rings.
- Students will come to class on time and bring what they need with them. (Textbooks, workbooks, novels, school supplies, several pencils, pens, color pencils, a ruler, glue sticks, and homework).
- Students will enter the classroom quietly and will be in their assigned seats, ready to learn before the tardy bell rings.
- They will get started on the warm-up and will work quietly until further instructions. (Student monitors will pass composition books.)

Be Respectful
Be Respectful
Students will listen to the teacher, follow her directions and rules quickly, be kind to everyone in the classroom/school and use good manners. Students will treat teachers, fellow students, guest speakers, and property with respect. Students will raise their hand for permission to speak at an appropriate time. Students will raise their hand for permission to leave their assigned seat sit if they need to sharpen their pencils, need tissue paper and/or school supplies. Students will listen while she is teaching and giving instructions.
Students will NOT use profanity in the classroom. Students will NOT eat, nor drink in the classroom. NO gum chewing. NO swearing. NO name calling. NO screaming. NO whistling. NO bullying. NO put-downs. Students will NOT use cell phones, headphones and other electronic devices in the classroom (If they are out, while in the classroom, they will be confiscated. After their first offense, their cell phones will be turned in to administration). Students will respect Mrs. Fargé’s property and our school’s property. (If they break, destroy, or remove any items from the classroom without permission, they will pay for them or replace them.) Students will NOT wear a hoodie/hat in the classroom. Students will NOT walk out of the classroom without permission (Parents and administrators will be notified immediately.) Students will use common, polite phrases such as say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. Students will wait to be dismissed in front of your chair. KEEP OUR CLASSROOM CLEAN.

Students will work hard and do their best ~Everyday students will give their best effort to complete daily warms-ups, classwork, homework assignments, and tests.
WARM-UPS
WARM-UPS
At the beginning of each class period, there will be a warm-up activity. Students will get a monthly warm-up calendar and/or a weekly warm-up handout. In addition, students will get a weekly handout for recording their warm-ups. Students cannot turn in warm-ups on a separate paper (All the warm-ups for the week must be on the same handout). Warm-ups will be turned in every Friday (25 points - 5 points per warm-up). BE NEAT.

Students will keep their hands and feet to themselves, and follow Mrs. Fargé’s classroom rules quickly.
NO pushing, NO touching, NO shoving, NO kicking, NO fighting. NO playing. Students will NOT run nor play in the classroom. No sports equipment is allowed in the classroom (e.g soccer balls, basketballs, baseballs, tennis balls ~ They will be confiscated and return at the end of class.)
