Dear Students,

You may choose a fiction book (1st semester) and a non-fiction book (2nd semester) to read, but it has to have my approval. (NOTE: You can use the fiction book (novel) you checked out on our trip to the library for the 1st semester)

* Each book project is assigned a starting point value of 100 points. If you do the task and do it well, you can earn those points. If you do the task but do not pull all your effort into it, you may not earn all the points assigned to the task. The goal is to raise your grade. Give it your BEST effort to complete your projects on time. Remember... Giving your BEST effort will yield your BEST result. Quality and content matter...Be CREATIVE. (NOTE: Late reports will NOT be accepted after the due dates.)

* All projects must have a completed book project form (There are a few exceptions and they are listed by the project).

* All projects require an oral presentation.

* Content, neatness, creativity, good grammar and spelling count. Be sure to follow directions on the book report form.

* Remember to choose a different project from the list each time.

* Make sure to choose a project that fits well with the book you have read, and one that you will enjoy doing.

FICTION BOOK PROJECTS:

All projects must include all of the elements of a narrative: plot, characters, setting, conflict, and theme.

NOTE: Check your projects for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation before you turn them in.
