Zaradi izjemnih odzivov in dobrih rezultatov je delo s psi v vzgojno-izobraževalnih ustanovah vse bolj zaželeno. Zanj se zanimajo številne ustanove, starši, učitelji in vodniki psov. Kuža namreč v šolo prinaša toplino, nežnost, zanesljivost, dobronamernost, veselje. Vabi k socialnim stikom, je protiutež elektronskim napravam in predstavlja podporo učiteljevemu delu.
Mreža Šolski pes na podlagi večletnih izkušenj nekaterih posameznikov (večinoma učiteljev, ki so hkrati vodniki terapevtskih psov) opredeljuje podrobnosti, ki so potrebne za načrtno, sistematično delo. Ob vsem ostalem poudarja skrb za varnost in skrb za dobro počutje vseh udeležencev, tudi psa.
Exceptional response and good results have made the work with school dogs more and more desirable in educational institutions. Such institutions along with parents, teachers and dog handlers have thus expressed the desire to be included into the School Dog Network, which is only understandable as the dog brings warmth, gentleness, reliability, good faith and happiness to school. The dog also invites social contact, is a counterweight to electronic devices and brings support to the teachers and their work.
The School Dog Network has defined the factors necessary for the detailed and systematic work based on the multi-annual experience of certain individuals (mostly teachers, who are also therapy dog handlers). Above all, the Network emphasizes the importance of safety and the concern for the well-being of everyone involved, including the dog.
