7th grade students from Madison Park Academy in Oakland, California travel to Point Reyes National Seashore for a 2 night and 3 day experience at the Clem Miller Outdoor Education Center. Students receive credit in each of their core classes for their participation on the trip. Students engage in a series of activities that incorporate science, english, history, and math. Students also participate in a variety of team building activities in support of their social-emotional learning. The entire planning and execution of the trip involves teachers, students, parents and chaperones.
