Clem Miller Environmental Education Center was established on May 2nd, 1987. The center is named after Clement Miller who authorized the legislation that established Point Reyes National Seashore in 1962.
Clem Miller Environmental Education Center hosts up to 2,500 students per year. While in the park students are able to participate in a variety of activities some of which include hiking, observing the natural ecosystems and habitats, whale watching from the shore, shoreline restoration projects and bird watching.
Point Reyes was home to the Coast Miwok Indians over 5,000 years ago.
