Happy Fathers Day!
Instead of submitting a ward history at the end of the year that is tucked away in church archives, we can now view our ward history unfold throughout the year as stories are submitted on an ongoing basis by our ward leadership!
Why?
“Our history is inspiring. This history is our shared heritage … . Why does this matter? Why would we spend so much time telling these stories? It’s because these stories give us real-life examples of the power of coming to know our Savior.”
—Elder Dale G. Renlund
President Henry B. Eyring taught,
“IT IS THE HOLY GHOST WHO HELPS US SEE WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR US.”
When we recognize and remember these things, we qualify to “receive the gifts of the Holy Ghost to give us power in our service.” President Eyring also promised, “You and [those who read your history] will be blessed as you remember what the Lord has done”
(“O Remember, Remember,” Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2007, 67–69).
