Lifeguard Cert

There are many reasons to become a lifeguard.  It is a great summer job where you get to work outside and work on your tan.  Other reasons include:

1) Helping others swim safely and you may even save a life or two.  You will provide first aid to patrons.  If you're interested in public service (first responder, customer service, teaching, medical service, etc) you will gain great experience in assisting others.  Helping others is often the most rewarding aspect of lifeguarding.

2) Learning valuable skills such as water safety, first aid, and CPR. Customer service and facility management is also some important skills you will learn at the Morris City Pool. Lifeguarding provides you with real-life experiences that translate into great resume boosters for other jobs.

3) Making new friends is a trademark of lifeguarding.  Lifeguards go through trainings and shifts together and develop special bonds often times making life-long friends.
