Ashton Millan (he/him)
Ashton Millan is a Mexican-American, queer artist. He works with many different mediums, such as oil points, plants, and ceramics. With his work, Millan aims to tell complex and detailed stories. He focuses on topics of gender expression, politics, family dynamics, the importance of community and living as a queer person in America. As an artist, his goal is not only to share these stores but also to make art accessible to anyone and everyone. As such, his work tends to span over multiple senses at once, with many pieces being tactile and others being scented. Millan completed his Associates of Fine Arts degree at Central New Mexico Community College with focuses on both Art History and Studio Arts, and continues his education through personal work. His work can be found in the homes and hands of loved ones and the walls of local galleries. He continues to further his craft in time and is always seeking new opportunities to develop his portfolio.
