REIGN in the Library

What is REIGN?

REIGN is a school wide initiative to improve our school community and culture. Each letter represents a value that every Hawk should not only posses but be proud to share with his/her friends, classmates, teachers, and community.

How can Hawks REIGN in the Library?

R-Respect

Students who REIGN respect the library and its collection. Books are returned in gently used condition and on time. All library policies and textbook policies are upheld including keeping all food and drinks out of the library. Students who REIGN also respect the library staff and follow directions.

E-Excel

Students who REIGN excel in library use and activities. They strive to meet Accelerated Reader or other independent goals. They push themselves to read more challenging books or books with material outside of their usual preferences. They may even excel as they "level up" in the BOOK IT TO A MILLION reading challenge

I-Integrity

Students who REIGN show integrity in the library when they make good choices every day. They choose to take care of the books they borrow, and they take care of the furniture and equipment in the library space. They own up to any book damage or lost books, and they do what they need to do to make things right. Students can view any lost book or damaged book fines in their Destiny Online Library account.

G-Giveback

Students who REIGN can give back to the library by participating in library events. They can also provide feedback on books they read by submitting book reviews, which will help other students choose titles from the collection. The library also accepts book donations. Feel free to bring any used or gently used books you wish to donate to the library during business hours.

N-Network

Students who REIGN know that the library is one of the best places on campus to network. Students can work together on projects or assignments within the library space. Various clubs meet in the library as well, and each week, Mrs. Jones hosts research and technology workshops to help with school projects and college readiness skills. The library hosts events that are designed to bring people together, and participating in the library will help you network with other students on campus.
