Nearpod is a web-based technology that allows teachers to incorporate technology into their daily lesson. Nearpod can be easily integrated into many different learning management systems.

How Educators can Facilitate Collaboration with Nearpod

Educators can facilitate collaboration in the classroom (traditional or digital classroom) with Nearpod by utilizing the Collaboration Board. While Nearpod is a tool that is perfect for presenting information, educators can also encourage collaboration by building in activities to get students socializing and working together to meet a learning goal.

"Social software, a major component of Web 2.0, enables people to unite or collaborate through computer-mediated communication and to form online communities" (Howland, et al., 2012). Educators can encourage the formation of online student educational communities by incorporating Nearpod's Collaborate feature.

How Students can Collaborate with Nearpod

Students can communicate and discuss ideas and concepts in real time and share that information using Nearpod.
