The first step to understand the behavior of a certain mineral during processing consists in understanding the origin of the mineral and characterizing its properties. On the other hand, characterization involves the study of mineralogical, textural and chemical properties of ores, as well as the determination of physical properties such as grain size distribution and density. We also focus on the characterization of the products and by-products obtained during further processing stages, which is essential to understand the changes undergone by the mineral.
