McKenzie Murphey

Hello, my name is McKenzie Murphey, and I attend Trinity Christian College where I am double-majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. I will also be receiving a license in both. 

I've known that I wanted to be a teacher since I was old enough to help teach at church on Sunday mornings. I currently work at a daycare as a lead teacher in the summer, making lesson plans and creating engaging and fun activities that support students and their learning. These activities and lessons are often outside and we explore the world around us. I also work as a personal support worker for a child with autism. I support him in community settings to practice social and life skills. My favorite thing about working with children is building relationships with families, students, and co-workers.

I'm so excited to see my students learn and grow as people and students! I will meet them where they are to watch them flourish and succeed in and outside of the classroom. Feel free to take a look around my portfolio!
