For Parents

It takes a village....

Helping your children with homework can be challenging, especially in the higher grades. Below are some things that you can do that will help:

1. Know the teachers and what they are looking for.

2. Set up a homework-friendly area where distractions are kept to a minimum. Keeping the same area helps their brain go into ‘homework’ mode and they will slip into good habits more quickly.

3. Try and schedule regular study times.

4. Make plans with your child. Find out what the expectations/assignments are for the term and sit down with them to set realistic goals.
