October continues on its darkened path. Everyone is busy (including myself, so I really can't judge), but still the urge to roll dice burns within us.
We were finally able to get in a (albeit diminished) game with the Open World Group. We ran a slightly adopted Pathfinder Society game that is going to function as something of a Prologue to "The Fall of Plaguestone." The players did excellently, especially considered that this was their first experience with Pathfinder 2nd edition. Who would have thought that a gnomish bard and a goblin sorcerer could keep so much power inside such tiny little frames?
It was also very refreshing for me, personally, to play with a different set of personalities. Two upbeat players who chewed on witchbread, visibly jumped at scares, and made real connections with NPCs says a lot of hopeful things for the future of this group! I'm looking forward to seeing us explore Golarion together.
That said, this is a great time to start looking at schedules for November. Well, it might be a bit early, but it's always good to start laying out the groundwork while we can! The Age of Ashes group is also going to start hitting a dry spell, as one of our players is almost permanently unreachable at this time of year. I'm looking forward to setting up some days to mix the groups together to play some smaller adventures together. That or we'll just organize some days to play board games together!
Everyone, enjoy your October! And if you go to any Halloween parties, remember to watch out for any Mosquito Witches.
