Why is reading important?
Reading is the foundation of the adolescent mind. Reading is more than comprehending a story, it improves brain activity, increases vocabulary skills and critical thinking, and can reduce stress levels. Reading causes the brain to understand how to write, speak, and effectively comprehend the reading.

Good literature is important because it enables the reader to see the world through the authors' eyes! It teaches the brain to understand the different points of view and helps the reader develop an appreciation of another individual's work.
