The Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Board of Trustees...approved the district’s school consolidation proposal with a 6 to 1 vote.
The approval will save the district up to $9 million within the first year and reduce 2,300 empty seats. The majority of CFBISD campuses will see some adjustments within their attendance zones, which have not been updated in more than 20 years.
The vote approved the consolidation of three Elementary and one Middle schools, as well as new attendance zones. Each consolidated campus will continue to receive district support. Special ceremonies to honor and commemorate the four campuses as well as welcome events at receiving schools will be planned for students, staff and the community.
