Interim Superintendent of Keller ISD, Cory Wilson, noted that as enrollment continues to decrease and school funding remains an issue, the potential closure of schools and effective budgeting will be critical considerations for the 2025-26 school year. Wilson reported that the district currently enrolls approximately 31,700 students, reflecting a decrease of about 3,400 students from the peak enrollment in the 2019-20 academic year. This decline has resulted in underutilization of school facilities across the district.
