Create a simple circuit. A circuit in minecraft is a little easier than in the real
world! To complete this challenge, your circuit needs to be activated by an event, a trigger. Examples like levers or buttons are okay, or you can try something more difficult like observers.
Your circuit should have at lease two pieces of redstone dust. Examples - Turn on a lamp using a lever, or open a door by standing on a
pressure plate on the other side of the room.
Can create a redstone contraption that uses sticky pistons in a useful way, some easy examples include opening doors or trapdoors, or hidden staircases.
The key for all these achievements is that the redstone should work (test three times) and that IT MUST BE EXPLAINABLE. This is not an achievement for copying a
youtube tutorial.
Can use a basic logic gate with redstone in order to create a puzzle or challenge of some kind. There are many examples, but the most basic of these is an AND gate or and OR Gate, where one or both torches need to be lit for the redstone to work correctly.
Also, the player must have another redstone contraption that involves a sensor, these include daylight sensors, observers, tripwire hooks, pressure plates and more. This can be a basic example of the working redstone circuit.
Again, the key is explanation of the working redstone. There should be a level of complexity to the circuit, but there is no need to include repeaters or comparators at this stage.
DIAMOND
Create a redstone machine that demonstrates how you can use repeaters. You need to show two
different examples of how to use repeaters, with an explanation of each one.
So for example, you can use repeaters to extend your redstone signal or you can use it to create a
delay in your redstone circuit.
Your explanation should show why a repeater is needed to make the circuit work.
One of the more advanced tools in a redstoners chest is the comparator. To earn this badge, you
need to show three different ways to use the comparator.
Again - it is about explaining what the comparator does using the portfolio, camera and
posters/boards.
Try combining it with chests, hoppers and even lecterns and books.
By this point you are a redstone expert - so show us your best redstone contraption! You could
create a flying machine, or an item sorter, or a complex safe. Anything goes!
You can combine with command blocks to create something truly incredible, or you could use
repeaters and note blocks to create a music masterpiece.
Whatever you create - inspired by the internet or your own ideas - you have to show that you
understand how it works.
It should include at least five redstone components, or you could make several smaller machines!
