Pay attention to what is happening around you — movement and change in your surroundings and as you move through them.
Receptive: See what changes you notice happening around you and the aspects of those changes that attract your attention.
Active: Focus on a particular aspect of an event in your environment and follow the changes (e.g. the movement of a leaf or a hand, shifting light, etc.).
Perceive the change. Perceive the stillness. Perceive the change in the stillness and the stillness in the change.
Be the change.
I am the things that happen to me — I am not the things that happen to me
Become aware of different aspects of your environment.
Receptive: Notice what aspects of your environment draw your attention. What do you tend to notice or overlook?
Active: Place your focus on something specific in your environment. This could involve looking for something you haven't noticed before in a familiar environment or choosing to experience a new and different environment.
What is around me?
Be here now.
I am my environment — I am not my environment
