Pierce Middle School's DEI Committee presented this workshop on diversity, equity, and inclusion for caregivers, featuring breakout sessions on restorative justice led by Adina Schecter and on hate speech and the LGBTQ+ community led by Milton High School student Oliver Jones.

Safe Schools

Jeff Perrotti and Landon Callahan from the DESE Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ+ Students in Massachusetts facilitated an interactive session for parents and guardians. They introduced resources for addressing sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Participants discussed best practices and strategies to support students and families. Sponsored in partnership with DESE, the MPS Department of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging and the Tucker, Collicot, Glover, and Cunningham Schools.
