First Sundays are a seasonal series of free family programs at seven different locations in downtown Riverside: Museum of Riverside, Mission Inn Museum, Riverside Art Museum, Riverside Public Library, UCR ArtsBlock, Riverside Fox Theater Foundation, and the Center for Social Justice and Civil Liberties.
On the first Sunday of each month, the Mission Inn Museum will choose a new theme for a history-based kids arts and craft activity!
This month's activity is inspired by the Mission Inn's extensive doll collection. Visitors will be able to make their own corn husk doll.
This month's focus is on the Mission Inn's in-house Printing Press shop. Visitors will learn how to make stamps out of cardboard, foam sheets, and ink pads.
Drawing inspiration from the Mission Inn's lantern collection, visitors will be making their own lanterns.
