In the mean time, students should get to work on the following:
1st Years: Begin revision on chapter 1 (mo shaol ar scoil) and 2 (Mé féin agus mo theaghlach) of the textbook Turas 1. The main focus here is the keywords (subjects, school facilities, family members, ages, etc.)
2nd Years: Read back over the notes you took down in your copies on the Aimsir Chaite and Aimsir Láithreach. The main focus here is how to put verbs into these tenses (for example in the Aimsir Chaite, verbs beginning with vowels take a D', so 'Ith' becomes 'D'ith'. Once you have read back over these notes, complete the quizzes on Sporcle.com to help familiarize yourself with more verbs. Just search 'English verbs in Irish' in the Sporcle search bar to find the quizzes.
3rd Years: Continue working on your CBAs. This is vitally important and needs to be competed ASAP! Once your CBA is done, you can upload them to Edmodo for correction. I am currently working on detailed PowerPoints based on the poems and other texts and these will be uploaded to Edmodo as soon as possible.
TYs: Continue revision on the Aimsir Chaite, Aimsir Láithreach and Aimsir Fháistineach. Complete the quizzes on Sporcle.com to help familiarize yourself with new verbs in each tense. Just search 'English verbs in Irish' in the Sporcle search bar.
5th Years: Complete the reading comprehensions from the 2012 and 2013 exam papers (Paper 2). These can be accessed through examinations.ie. Goolge "examinations.ie exam material archive" and click on the first link, you can access the papers here.
6th Years: Focus on preparations for the oral. Study the notes I have given you up to now and prepare answers for other possible topics. Also, practice reading the poems. Use the videos I have shown you on YouTube to familiarize yourself with the correct pronunciation. I am currently working on more detailed PowerPoints for Prose and poetry and these will be uploaded onto Edmodo as soon as possible.
Work on the Irish oral (Beannú, reading the poems, the conversation and the sraith pictiúr (all 20 of them)).
Write essays under the headings Mo Scoil, An Lá is Fearr i Mo Shaol, An Rud is Fearr Liom, An Samhradh seo Chaite).
Do question 2A Paper 2 2018, 2017 and 2016.
Do question 3 A and B Paper2 2018, 2017 and 2016.
