Shelf Tools

The Shelf Tools Include Follwing Features:

• NEW: Update Manager
• NEW: Presets for mbDecorator and mbOBBSubdiv.
• C-Plane 1 and 10km and 4x4 Grid Presets - Sets the cplane and ortho grid to a good working Scale for generating Curve inputs for streets and building generators.
• C-Plane Grid Subdivider and Unsubdiviver - Divide or Multiply Ortho and C-Plane Grid by the power of 2.
• C-Plane move 1 grid unit upwards and downwards - Moves C-Plane in its current direction up or down by one Unit. (1 unit means 1 Cplan grid resolution.) Good for snapping curves for Street Inputs.
• Save selected Node to .bgeo file (Functionality also in Python Panel Prop Manager)
• Preset to Create Curve with wrangle sop to setup @width and @lanes on curves
• Save Selected Nodes to disk as .bgeo and load them back with a file sop, (Good for baking finished Models to a File on disk.)
• mbSplineCloner Preset
• Object Level Presets for Building Generators (more to come. alternative use the gallery items)
• Screenshot Tool (Takes a Screenshot of the Viewport)

C-Plane Note:

• Working with the c-plane when creating Curves can be important. Setting the cplane and move it around can be frustrating. Use the Move Grid Shelf tools to move the cplane by one unit. The cplane can be divided into smaller res or higher res which also controls the movement steps.
• All of these Tools can be set to a shortcut by Right Click and Edit the Tool in the Shelf. For example for moving the cplane up and downwards we use ctrl + + and ctrl + - on the numpad.

• Draw Boxes H:1-2 / S:.2 Puts a new Node mbBuildingLayouter with Settings: Random Heights 1-2 and Snap Distance of 2 Houdini units
• Draw Rectangles Puts a new Node mbBuildingLayouter with the Setting to draw Rectangles in the viewport
• Draw Boxes Standard Draw Boxes without any adjusted Settings (uses scales in the 100)
• Draw Random pscale Boxes Puts a new Node mbBuildingLayouter with random pscale attribute
• Toggle Snapping Toggles Snapping on the current Node
• Set Snap to 1x1 Sets Snapping to 1x1 units
• Tool Toggle: Rectangles Switch to Rectangle Draw Mode
• Tool Toggle: Boxes Switch to Box Draw Mode
• Toggle: Add / Remove Toggle Add or Remove Boolean Operation
• Cache Geo Turn off Autocaching and manually cache current Geometry like Mari Caching.
• Tool Toggle: Freeform Switch to Freeform Draw Mode
• Tool Toggle: FreeformSnap Switch to FreeformSnapping Draw Mode
• Toggle Autocache Turn on or off the Autocaching of strokes.

mbDrawTools comes with a full radial Menu for a quick workflow.
