mbMicroCity--Props Manager
This Python Panel allows you to Manage Props and Assets such as Windows. Once you have a huge set it can become handy to rename Nodes or Normalize the Scales to 1x1 Units for several Props at once.
To Load Python Panels:
1. Click the Gear Icon in the Python Panel Tab and Click Edit Toolbar Menu...
2. Drag the mbMicrocity-Props Manager to the Toolbar Menu Entries.
This Python Panel lists all Geometry Objects in Subnets. useful for managing Assets used for the mbDecorator HDA.
Features:
- Batch Rename of Nodes
- Batch Normalize of Scale
- Batch Position Prop to minimum Position in Y
- Align All Geo in Subnet on a Grid so Props can be seen better.
- Batch saving .bgeo Files from subnets.
- Option to use last node as Postfix when saving .bgeo Files such as <containerName>_lowpoly_OUT.bgeo
- Selection Handling: Selecting a Prop in the List will also select the Geometry Node, dive inside it and select the last Node. Similar to a Houdini Tree view auto dive into network option.
To Test the Panel create a Subnet at /obj and load in files with the shortcut = (former shortcut was `) You can select multiple files and load them in at once. This makes it very easy repopulating buildings with different Props as a Batch Process. Also it can be used to enumerate the props node containers name in a correct way or process normalization of scales, batch convert and load back geometry as bgeo files and spread props to a grid sheet.
