Welcome to Nanoplatforms for Optical-Versatile Applications (NOVA) LAB
Located within the Center for Inflammation Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School
The NOVA Lab focuses on the dynamic intersection of nanotechnology, optical imaging, and translational medicine. Based in the Center for Inflammation Imaging, our team develops cutting-edge theranostic nanoparticles designed to overcome critical challenges in clinical diagnosis and therapy.
By precisely controlling physicochemical parameters, we engineer renal-clearable nanocarriers, novel iron chelation therapies, and targeted fluorophores that offer unprecedented contrast and specificity. From illuminating the earliest stages of inflammation and arthritis to driving immune-mediated tumor targeting across various cancer types, our primary goal is to thoroughly understand in vivo nano-bio interactions and translate these discoveries into powerful photonic medicine platforms.
We invite you to explore our research, meet our multidisciplinary team, and discover how we are shaping the future of optical nanomedicine.
