1920's

  • 1920 - Methlick Scout Group founded by Dr WL Stephen

  • 1927 - Wolf Cub pack founded

1930's

  • 1937 - 2 members of the group attended the World Jamboree in Netherlands

1940's

  • 1942 - Moved to current location in Methlick

  • 1942 - Previous Scout Hut was built

  • 1947 - 1 member of the group attended the World Jamboree in France

1950's

  • 1951 - 4 members of the group attended the World Jamboree in Austria

  • 1955 - 2 members of the group attended the World Jamboree in Canada

1960's

  • 1967 - 2 members of the group attended the World Jamboree in USA

1970's

  • 1975 - Formation of 3 Districts: Eastern, Central, Western, in the Gordon area.

1980's

  • 1988 - 1 member of the group attended the World Jamboree in Australia

1990's

  • 1990 - Venture Scouts Unit founded

  • 1991 - 1 member of the group attended the World Jamboree in South Korea

  • 1993 - Beaver Colony founded

  • 1996 - Winners of National Youth Fire Prevention Quiz

  • 1997 - Current Scout Hut built

  • 1998 - 2 members of the group attended the World Jamboree in Chile

2000's

  • 2000 - first 2 members attended Blair Atholl International Jamborette

  • 2002 - Venture Scouts became an Explorer Unit

  • 2002 - First Queen Scout Awards presented in Group

  • 2006 - The group became co-educational with boys and girls in all sections

  • 2007 - Scouting celebrated it's centenary

  • 2007 - 4 members of the group attended the World Jamboree in UK

  • 2008 - 2 members of the Group went on an Explorer Belt in Tunisia

  • 2008 - Merger of the 3 Gordon area districts into a single "Gordon District".

2010's

  • 2011 - 8 members of the Group went on an Explorer Belt in Sweden

  • 2015 - 3 members of the group attended the World Jamboree in Japan

  • 2015 - 8 members of the Group went on an Explorer Belt in Germany

  • 2018 - We won a minibus!

  • 2019 - 1 member of the group attended the World Jamboree in USA

2020's

  • 2020 - We celebrate our centenary (limited due to pandemic)

  • 2022 - Started Squirrels, a new Section for 4-6 year olds
