Pachycereus schottii
The totem pole cactus is a spineless, sculptural wonder known for its smooth, bumpy surface that looks hand-carved—hence the name. A mutation of the senita cactus, it grows slowly in tall, column-like clusters and can reach up to 10 feet. Native to the Sonoran Desert, it’s a favorite in xeriscaping for its striking, almost surreal appearance.
