The senita cactus is a rare Sonoran Desert native, easily recognized by its tall, multi-stemmed form and shaggy gray bristles at the tips—like a cactus with a wild haircut. It can grow up to 15 feet tall and blooms at night with pale pink flowers, pollinated by a special moth. Found mostly in southern Arizona and Mexico, it’s a unique, slow-growing symbol of the desert’s quiet resilience.
