Encelia farinosa
A desert favorite, brittlebush brightens the landscape with silvery-green leaves and cheerful yellow daisy-like flowers each spring. Its name comes from its brittle, easily snapped stems. Common across the Sonoran Desert, it’s drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and often one of the first signs that desert wildflower season has arrived.
