Don Pierce

Treasurer:                                        Don Pierce

Don Pierce joined the Lions Club in 2016. “I attended several dinner meetings with Lion Rodney Bachtell and helped him man the beer cart in the annual golf tournament. I met a lot of nice people during those events, and it seemed like a good activity for making friends and serving the community and would fill a void left after years of involvement with Boy Scout Troop 28 as Assistant Scoutmaster.”

Since joining, Don has served as Vice President, President and Assistant Treasurer. Following an apprenticeship under long-time Treasurer Tom Ralston, Don took over as Treasurer in December 2019.

Don and his wife, Lion Lisa Pierce, live outside of Mercersburg. They have two children; Lion Matt Pierce of Mercersburg and daughter Melissa Pierce who lives in Washington state. He is a mechanical engineer at NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland where he’s been for 36 years. Don enjoys golfing (often with his Lions Club friends), hunting, fishing, ice fishing, maple syrup making and working outside.
