Me Mapping with Multilingual Learners

Antoinette SEL & SAIRCY Intro to Me Mapping Website Jan 29, 2020.mp4

Overview

On this website, you will find a collection of multimedia ‘Me Maps', which are videos focusing on language learners’ identities as well as their experiences and perspectives on the world around them.

These videos were created in 'Me Mapping Workshops' that combine a focus on English proficiency development and the production of multimedia artifacts through the Flipgrid app. The topics explored in our workshops with English learners include their linguistic repertoire, important milestones in their lives, their experiences at school, and their hopes and aspirations for their future.

On our Me Mapping Videos page, you will find a collection of videos representing a diverse group of multilingual English learners in Ontario, Canada between the ages of 6-18. These videos were created with the support of teachers and facilitators in schools, community agencies, and parents.

You can get more information about Me Mapping on the About Me Mapping page and download our guides from our Activity Guides page.
