This video project is part of the ESL Infusion Initiative and related research project directed by Antoinette Gagné. There are five video projects as part of this series that showcase the voices and reflections of new immigrant and Canadian teenagers in Canada, immigrant families and the teachers of their children, and internationally educated teachers and their mentors.

This project showcases the experiences of diverse adolescents in cultural, religious, or social justice clubs in Toronto District School Board (TDSB) secondary schools, as well as among members of the Student SuperCouncil, and the effects of club participation on the development of identity and intercultural citizenship.

This series includes videos on the experiences of immigrant and refugee learners in Canada, ESL support networks, and programs and teaching strategies to facilitate the overall success of ESL learners. A companion guide is also available on this page, which provides background information and group/individual activities for each chapter, as well as a list of resources such as books, journal articles, videos and websites.
