30th Apr. 2021, Bitcoin energy consumption
It's mind-blowing when I saw this chart, the peak energy consumption of the Bitcoin industry is almost the same as the total UK energy consumption. Its carbon emission ranking is 36, which is higher than the countries like the Philippines and Nigeria.
But at least, traditional mining still dominates the definition of the word "Mining" in our dictionary from the power consumption perspective. Since the traditional mining industry accounts for 10 percent of world energy consumption.
Will the traditional mining hand over the crown to Bitcoin mining on power consumption soon?

Having more green food does not mean healthy, but most people don't realize it yet. So does to the energy industry, saving energy and reduce energy consumption is same importance as the green energy transition.
