39. Cheerleader Uniform

This cheerleading uniform was worn by the donor for the athletic events of the Rams of Rockville High School, 1976-78. With school colors of orange, white, and black, the uniform is a sleeveless, long-waisted orange polyester dress with a short pleated skirt. On the chest is a detachable black-trimmed white letter “R” embroidered “LIZ” for the recipient. Rockville High School was opened in 1968, resurrecting the name that had been dropped in 1935 when the original 1892 Rockville High was renamed as Richard Montgomery High School.
