A yearbook captures the memories and moments of the school year. It is something that students can look back on as a reflection of their time as a high school stuent. Pictures speak a thousand words, and I believe that they are the most essential part of a book. Photography is the biggest area of growth I have seen since being a part of the journalism program. I have learned how to capture the perfect moments with the right levels of exposure and contrast as well as take pictures full of emotion. A majority of my photographic work has come from sporting events, as I think that the photos from athletics show more passion than any other. I have also gotten the opportunity to photograph school events for our Parent Teacher Organization to be posted on school social media sites.
