Evaluation 

EVALUATION:  Students will demonstrate their prior knowledge, cleared misconceptions, and in depth understanding related to the (complete this sentence related to our lesson plan) We complete a one-minute challenges solving quick addition and subtraction problems to see how many gems we can collect before times runs out.

Higher Order Questions: 

-        “What was easy about adding or subtracting gems?”

-        “How would you explain your final number of gems?”

-        “How has your way of collecting gems changed since we started?” 

Teacher Dialogue : "We’re doing a quick gem challenge! Roll the dice and solve the problem in one minute. Ready?"

Student Dialouge: [Rolls dice] "I got 8 gems!"

Teacher Dialouge: "Awesome! How did the dice help?"

Student Dialouge: "It told me whether to add or subtract."

Teacher Dialouge : "Great job, explorers! You all did fantastic!"
