Growing Success is a document which outlines the policies for the assessment, evaluation, and reporting of student achievement in Ontario schools (K-12). Beginning in 2010 assessment, evaluation, and reporting in Ontario schools were required to be based on the policies and practices described in Growing Success, superseding all curriculum documents and policies created prior to 2010.

The following Google Slides presentation provides an overview of each chapter of Growing Success, with some questions about each chapter to self-assess your understanding of each section. You can use this module as a self-study resource as an introduction to the major concepts of Growing Success, or as a way to review if you are already familiar with the document.
We strongly recommend reading the full document prior to taking the MPT, not relying completely on this module! Pedagogy questions on the MPT may contain slight differences to wording and terminology and it is best to familiarize yourself with those terms and definitions.
