My supplementary evidence of professional competency in scholarship is minimal. However, writing this proposal helped me to narrow my focus down to adult learners who are women and the challenges they face with learning technologies. This qualitative proposal focuses on social identity theory found in Hispanic non-traditional women who are students' experiences using narrative analysis. My own experience and several stories told to me by other women persuaded me to develop a desire to research women in adult learning and attrition. A social identity theory is a framework guiding this study. Though this study uses a qualitative methodology, I will use quantitive analysis when researching.
