New 3D model for Unit 310 Manufacture stairs with turns

This model created in July 2026 in response to assistance from (DP) a Tutor/Lecturer in the North East of the UK.

The model forms the basis of the "City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Bench Joinery (6706-36) " and was developed from the 2D drawing on page 25 of the "Practice Manual - Unit 310 Manufacture stairs with turns Task 1, 2 and 3 Set out stairs with turns"

Those interested should note the model contains two minor alterations to the original 2D drawing (1) the groove forming the joint between the lower and upper wall stings has been replaced with a rebate to assist with on-site installation. (2) the top and bottom edges of the wall strings (close to the joint) have been lifted 18mm to ensure the nosing of the top tapered step does not encroach into the margin.
