Original In-Person MANS Classes
The in-person MANS classes began in mid 2010 in an intimate classroom setting in Boston MetroWest, Massachusetts. It was a natural offshoot of the co-ed clothed class that had started meeting ten years earlier.
This naked stretching class proudly bosts being the only known class of its kind anywhere.
The class met twice each week on the same schedule still in effect today via ZOOM.
The photos below were taken for inclusion in an article Barry wrote for "N" [Nude and Natural] magazine, a quarterly publication of The Naturists Society. His article told of the formation and existance of the one-of-its-kind MANS class. A copy of this article is available in the Files section of the MeWe MANS group.
The most important stretch to do daily.
Opens the chest muscles. Good for better posture.
One of the more difficult stretches we do in class.
Undoes the tightness caused by too much sitting.
Opens the gluteus maximus muscle.
With the start of the pandemic in 2020 the in-person MANS class migrated to the ZOOM platform in August in order to continue holding the well-liked classes.
This new ZOOM class format attracted a world-wide following which still continues today.
da Vinci Stretch
The most important stretch you can do.
We do this stretch both near the start of the MANS class and again near the end of the class.
This powerful stretch targets the pectoralis major muscles of the chest.
Progressive Lateral Stretch
This stretch is unique for Active Stretching because it progressively stretches muscles all the way
from the top of your head to your ankle and heel - lateral neck muscles, upper traps, lats,
intercostals, quadratus lumborum, gluteus medius and minimus, IT Band and outside ankle muscles
to name a few.
Knee to Chest Stretch
This stretch targets the gluteus maximus [butt] muscle and lower back muscles.
Hamstrings Stretch
Classes end with shared Virtual Gourmet Hugs
Focused breathing.
Targets pectoralis major chest muscles.
Improves posture.
Targets the oblique muscles.
Targets glutes.
Many of the stretches we do in the MANS class
can be done anytime and anyplace.
