II Chronicles
The book of 2 Chronicles is mostly about the history of the Kingdom of Judah (the southern kingdom) and focuses especially on its kings, from Solomon to the Babylonian exile.
The reign of King Solomon — his wisdom, the building of the Temple in Jerusalem, and his wealth and accomplishments.
The history of Judah’s kings, starting with Solomon’s son Rehoboam and going all the way to Zedekiah, the last king before the Babylonian exile.
2 Chronicles emphasizes:
Faithfulness to God leads to blessing.
Unfaithfulness and idolatry bring judgment.
The importance of the Temple and worship.
The role of priests and Levites in guiding the people spiritually.
2 Chronicles zeroes in on Judah and the Davidic line—highlighting God’s covenant with David and the hope for restoration.
