PHILOSOPHY PAPER I: In my first Philosophy paper, I discussed the harsh realities of Black men and women across the nation. Unfortunately, it has always been a common practice for police officers and other government officials to treat minorities with unjust mannerism. As a result of this, many members of these communities do not have trust in the system resulting in further dissociation between the two.
PHILOSOPHY PAPER II: In my second Philosophy paper, I talked about the importance of understanding troubled youth, and where I believe our criminal justice system is headed in the future. Because I believe in our system, I sincerely give credence to the progression of inner city youth who suffer from a variety of subjects. To prevent habitual criminal offenses as juveniles get older, it is essential to understand where they come from as a child to avert career criminals.
PHILOSOPHY PAPER III: In my final philosophy paper, I further elaborated on the ethical duties of all criminal justice practitioners, what needs to happen in the future in terms of our justice system, and the importance of diversity training/inclusion. As of right now, I believe our justice system has come a long way. Although we have witnessed a number of hiccups, professionals are being held accountable for their actions after violating citizen rights. Most importantly, I discussed the essentials of taking into account who comes into the criminal justice profession as they will lead many communities. If we are constantly lacking professionals who practice progressive ethics, citizens will feel those effects and will continue to resent the system.
