In this presentation, I had the opportunity to express my personal morals and ethics that resonate with me the most. The point of the presentation was to give others a clear understanding of the things that represent Makylah Deloney; I believe this project is essential because we never get another chance to make our first impression. I want my peers to understand me for what I am.
Throughout this paper, I spoke a lot about leadership and the qualities it takes to be great at leading. Being a leader isn't determined by one's position; however, it is based upon one's impact, and their ability to lead a team of people who respect you. This assignment was an outstanding learning experience because I was able to expand my mind in terms of becoming a more efficient leader.
This is a personal interview I conducted with an old classmate who is now a Police Officer for the city of Golden Valley. Throughout the duration of our conversation, we talked a great deal about policing in this era, the murder of George Floyd, the importance of mental health as a law enforcement official, and handling police stops effectively. Being a Police Officer has a lot of positive benefits that serve citizens of different communities; however, this position faces a lot of backlash due to racial disparities. Officer Vierling made me aware she was well equipped as a result of being more prepared after completing her Bachelor's degree.
In this calling card, I put together different obligations to hold myself intelligible for the sake of those I will work with. Theology was an eye-opening course; I was given the opportunity to dig deeper into my purpose. Although I've always known I wanted to work in the Criminal Justice field, there were many things revealed that I did not know about myself pertaining to my choice of career. Because of this course, understand my "why?"
